Rare and very early 1880/1885 large "Winch Loch trolling-harling" salmon fly reel, for trolling Scottish lochs (salmon and or large ferox trout). All bronze, made by J. McGowan London. Attractive large horn crank handle (wynch type). Six brass spacers, four on bearings, noisemaker pawl. Diameter 10 cm, width 5.5 cm. Splendid condition, well preserved its original bronze patina. For the discerning collector, presented in a soft leather pouch.
