The original Cascapedia reels, whichHardy marketed in four sizes from 1936 to 1939 in only a few dozen copies of each size, are considered by anglers and collectors to be the finest, most powerful salmon fly reels ever made. The original models, depending on their size, currently sell for between £20 and £35,000 (€25 to €40,000) at UK auctions, when you find one for sale. Exact replicas made in the 1990s, numbered as shown here, are also highly sought-after for both fishing and collecting.
