Hardy's: "The Wye" model, 13.6-foot, three-section salmon fly rod with two tips, E 74244 (year of manufacture 1950). Named after the Welsh river of the same name, the "Wye" is a powerful fly rod for 10/11 line, capable of fighting the very large fish that used to swim up this magnificent river. Lockfast" type ferrules with grease plugs, agate tip and tip rings, bridge type intermediate rings, screw reel seat sliding on the aluminium handle. This rod, which has seen very little fishing, is in perfect condition and presented in its original Hardy scabbard. Given its power and length, this is a rod that may suit a young and/or fit angler who knows how to cast with both hands, to fight big fish as in Norway, for example.
