The Fairchild Rod

Hardy's : Hardy's One-handed trout fly rod, split bamboo, model "The Fairchild Rod" 9 p6 in three sections, two tip sections, for 2/3" fly line. Suction ferrules, agate leader and tip rings, serpentine body rings, very fine handle, single reel seat No. 15200 (year of manufacture 1957). The Fairchild is one of Hardy's lightest slit models, made especially for women or children. The rod presented here is like new, complete with its two grease plugs, in its original sheath (Hardy label "unstitched"?). Ideal for dry or nymph fishing for trout or grayling, with very fine leaders (10 or 12/100 tips).
