Brand-new glass entomological box (26x39x5cm) containing a splendid and rare collection of Lepidoptera moths of the Geometridae family, first described by Walter Rothschild in 1895. These tropical moths are highly original, differing from the moths of our regions in their brightly colored wings (bright red, orange, blue with black stripes). While most of the moths of our temperate regions are dull, brown or gray, the Milionia or Episteme genera (family Noctuoidae) we present here are mostly native to Indonesia (Sulawesi, Sulawesi, Java, Sulawesi, Sulawesi, Sulawesi, Sulawesi, Sulawesi, Sulawesi, Sulawesi, Sulawesi, Sulawesi, Sulawesi, Sulawesi), Sulawesi, Java, Irian Jaya, etc.) and, for reasons that still escape most entomologists (scientists who study insects, including butterflies), adorn themselves in bright colors that their nocturnal lifestyle in no way dictates...all cats are gray at night....
These include splendid and rare specimens of Milionia zonea (Borneo), M. delicatula (Sulawesi), M. celebensis (Sulawesi), M. rawakensis (Papua New Guinea), etc., etc., as well as three very rare Episteme bisma from Java.
The box is new and the butterflies perfectly preserved.
